Are you looking for budget tablets? - Jump on to Cheap Android Tablets......
The comparison between Android and Apple is the central topic for any conversation across the world these days. While Apple seems to constitute the founders, Android occupies the seat for modifiers. With the coming of Google and Samsung smart phones, though Apple may have lost a significant share in the phone market, on the tablet front, Android tablets are still behind the iPad. Apple still has a significant preponderance in the market of tablet usage and revenue generation from their respective app stores.
All of us know that almost all of the admired iPad apps are accessible for Android. However these apps seem to lack a good enough design in order to gain from the extra real estate of tablet displays. A number of tablet users are often heard complaining about the Twitter, Facebook, Dropbox and Pandora apps. These tablet apps Android look like their interfaces have just been stretched out as opposed to filling the screen with menus and sidebars.
One major reason why Apple still conquers this market is that the App store has 300,000 apps designed exclusively for the iPad. Even the other apps change their interface when used on an iPad using compatibility modes. The Google play store on the other hand has very few apps designed specifically for tablets. The apps do not change in appearance even when used on a tablet.
Apple apps are also simpler and more stable as compared to tablet apps Android. Though Android has taken a large number of steps to make apps more user friendly, iPad apps tend to be more facile and less overwhelming.
The iPad is also the perfect tablet for those who are minutely nervy about technology. Apple has decided to go with a more uncomplicated design, which may mean less customization, but it also means enhanced user comfort. The best part about this is that you can have the pleasure of owning a tablet without wasting a lot of time on learning how to use it and/or making it ready for your personal use.
When it comes to gaming, the iPad leaves all other tablets far far behind. The gadget, like all other apple devices, excels in the field of gaming. If a user wants to play more games apart from Cut the Rope and angry birds, then Apple can beat almost all of the other Android counterparts in terms of interface. Apple has thus contested the complete portable gaming market with games of such cool, that they can’t even be compared to Android. There are a mounting number of hardcore games that can please and attract people of all age groups.
If you are more of a reader than a gamer, the iPad's iBooks app is one of the finest eReaders on the market, with an outstanding interface that flips pages like a real book. This gives the feel of actually sitting down to read a book. None of the apps on Android offer this feature.
Acer has produced and developed a number of technologically advanced gadgets. The most recent development includes tablets and android phones. There are a number of tablets that have been used to help customers handle most of their daily activities. This is through the unique and advanced features that are constantly being improved to suit the market needs. The company is constantly making efforts to improve the products that already exist in the market. As a result, they have one of their most recent developments in the form of an Android tablet. It is the Acer Iconia tab 8 tablet that is still awaiting its release.
More about The Acer Iconia tab 8 Tablet
Although a number of things are still not known about it, some amazing information has already been released about this new product. These include:
It is one of the most unique developments from the company. This was recently unveiled by the company in Taiwan. It only came with very limited specifications that make it apparently a good save for Computex. Some of these include the pixels that are 1920 X 1200 with IPS display. This is a little bit above that of Iconia Tab 7 which has a resolution of 1280 X 800.
As is depicted by its name, it has a display of 8 inches, hence a full HD display and specs that are notable. They include the android KitKat and a processor of the quad core model. Meanwhile, the processor will have an Intel Atom of Z3745 that offers storage and memory which have not yet been released through its quad offering. Together with 2GB of RAM, it contains the unspecified clock speed. The other known specifications that have already been revealed include the availability of WI-FI with 802.11 b/g/n, stereo speakers, and an expansion slot micro SD. It also has a longer battery life that is rated at 7.5 hours and contains zero gap technology.
Currently, there is still no information that has been provided in relation to the price of the product.
It bears different functions that aim at improving the lives of different customers. Therefore, it will be appropriate for use with Bluetooth and other USB properties. Indeed, it is a great feature in the new release.
Comparison to other tablets
The Acer Iconia Tab 8 Tablet has a similar design to that of the Iconia 7, which is its predecessor. However, it is still too soon to establish whether it is akin to it. According to the already revealed specs, there is a substantial display and a significant improvement on the processor. It will be necessary to wait for the release of full specs in order to make a proper comparison.
The trend at Acer indicates a constant improvement of their previous products. This is the case with the limited features of Acer Iconia Tab 8 Tablet. With these properties it is the premium tablet that is appropriate for everyday life. Watch out for this product which upon its release at the start of Q3 will provide with some of the best services that you have ever received from Acer.
Why android OS is better than iOS and Windows 8 in tablets?
The iOS was initially the beginner of transformation from the PC era in the society today since they introduced the first mobile operating system in 2007. However, in the current technology, it has become the weakest in productivity. iOS is easy to use and understand and therefore it targets an average consumer or anyone with little professional creation in mind, and therefore it is not recommended for professional platform.
Android on the other hand has become the leading mobile OS in the market today with approximately a market share of 73%. Why you should buy an android tablet is because android devices offers quality and outstanding features that cannot match iOS features. One of the best distinct feature of the android OS is that it accommodates interactive widgets on its home screen that enable users to interact directly from the home screen unlike other mobile OS.
The windows 8 OS focuses distinctly on corporate business productivity and therefore it heavily invests on users who are into Microsoft business majorly. It is based on tiles that are customized with various apps but even though, they are not as credible as the android widgets and they lack a social integration platform. The windows OS has less than 5% of the market share and this becomes difficult to convince customers that it is the better than android.
In the recent market today, the android devices are the best price ranged and are usually the cheapest in the market unlike the windows 8 and the iOS tablets. The android tablet are going for a very low price especially the 7 inch Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, while their productivity is far much better than a windows 8 or iOS of the same value whose prices are a bit higher. Compared to the windows world and the Apple’s iOS platform, android offer a wide variety of tablets of different inches and an added advantage is that its apps are not optimized for big screens. The android tablet is also equipped with a market app where you can shop for music, games, books and other apps and this implies that you can even make a bargain contrary to the other OS that have no shopping media.
Another reason as to why you should buy android tablet is because Google services have majored in the android devices unlike other OS. As a Google user which is a main necessity for most tablet users, you sign in to android and the your g mail is ready to use, Google maps are also ready to take you home, Google docs is ready for your documents, Google contacts are also streamlined, the Google play store is also supported to provide and give updates on various apps, and this means that you hand over most data to Google which is an advantage that is not offered by windows 8 and iOS.
Apart from that, the android tablet offers exclusive features. Even if they may not be available in all the android tablets, they are still better than what the iOS and windows 8 have not offered. These include the wireless charging that is availed via the Google platform. Android also has a storage expansion where you simply insert an SD card unlike iOS that has no expansion slots. Besides, if you want a kickstand similar to that one in Lenovo Yoga tablets, there is no alternative apart from android. Android tablets customizability is what makes them the best tablets....
Exciting Times Ahead for Google Nexus Tablet User Group and Tablet device Fans
Google Nexus tablet fans are eagerly looking forward to the next version of Google Nexus tablet that would probably take on the Apple iPad Air tablet. The answer to this million dollar question whether Google is planning to come out with a Nexus 9 to take on iPad Air would be music to the Nexus fans. According to a news report from dependable sources, Google has already given enough hints to their manufacturing partners to get ready for building the high definition Google tablets. Google is planning to start the manufacturing of next generation of their tablet range from the end of June or from the first week of July.
DigiTimes, one of the reliable online news source covering the plans of high tech manufacturing and IT companies in Taiwan and China, has recently come out with a report in the month of March 2014 that Google would be coming out with two tablets in the year 2014. DigiTimes Research, the Research and development wing of the online publication group reports that Google has already started the design work related to its 8.9 inches model and the mass production of this 8.9 inches model would begin any time in the last week of June 2014 or in the first week of July 2014. The research team also reveals that in addition to this 8.9 inches tablet, supposed to take on 9 inch iPad Air, Google is also planning to come out another Nexus tablet in the 8 inches category.
DigiTimes research team is very confident that Google would be skipping all the intermediate sizes in the range between 8 inches and 9 inches and straight way move on to the large sized 8.9 inches category in order to take on iPad Air. The research team provided data related to the market share of Google Nexus tablets in the small, medium and large sized tablet market space. According to the data released by DigiTimes, Google has a considerable market share of 55% in the small and medium size tablets (7 inch and 8 inch) and is expected to grow further in 2014. But in the large sized tablet category (9 inches and above), Google's market share is only around 30%. Apple currently has a market share of 55% in the large sized tablet market place. One of the the main reason for quickly moving to the 9 inch tablet category is to increase Google Nexus market share in that category.
According to the DigiTimes research report, Google's 8.9 inches Nexus tablet would be the first set of Google devices that would be running on the Google's new Android 5.0 operating system. Google is planning to unveil its latest Android 5.0 operating system during the Google I/O developer conference in June 2014. The research report reveals that the 8.9 inch Google tablet would be priced at around $299. The main objective of releasing Android 5.0 in June is to feature more tablet only applications in the Nexus 8.9 inch tablet that would get released in July. Google is betting big on increasing their market share in the large sized tablet segment by offering tablet specific app in their soon to be launched 8.9 inch tablet. Google is also hoping that more tablet only app developers would be joining with them, which would invariably give a further boost to their 8.9 inch Google tablets.

With the introduction of new players, the android tablet market has been opened wide giving the consumers a wide variety of choices to pick from. This also makes the tablet buying process tougher for the purchaser. But no one is complaining as this is a challenge that everyone loves to face....
The Android tablet market has just become hotter with the introduction of the Yoga Tablets 8 and 10 by Lenovo. With these two tablets, Lenovo is taking the Nexus line of tablets head on. Both these tablets have the same features, the only difference being the size. The Lenovo tablet reviews have been very favorable for this new introduction. Let us see why.
The hardware design of this tablet is different from others in the market. It has a cylindrical grip on one side. The battery is housed here. A stand made of Aluminum has been integrated with this cylinder and backs the three modes in which the tablet can be used - The Hold, Stand and Tilt modes. The cylinder makes it very comfortable to hold the tablet in the portrait mode. One can also make the tablet stand on a flat surface, thanks to the same cylinder, to use it in the stand mode. Finally the cylinder also has a kickstand that one can pull out, to use the tablet in the tilt mode. These 3 modes give the user much more flexibility on how the tablet can be used securely without the fear of any kind of damage.
The Yoga tablet runs on 4.2.2. Jelly Bean and is powered by quad-core MediaTek processors. The processors are different based on the variety of the tablet. A MT8125 powers a WiFi variant while a MT8389 processor supports the 3G variants. It comes equipped with either 16GB or 32GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 64GB through microSD cards. It is amply supported by a 1GB RAM and sports a 1280*800 HD resolution screen with IPS frames. There are two cameras in the tablet, a 5 mega pixel one in the rear and a 1.6M VGA camera in the front. The tablet also supports BlueTooth version 4.0.
The Yoga tablet is powered by Li-Ion polymer batteries of varying strengths. While the battery in the Yoga 8 is 6000mAH the one in the Yoga 10 is 9000mAH. Lenovo asserts that these batteries can power the tablets for up to 18 hours on charge which means that the Yoga tablet can outrun any of its competitors out there in the market on batteries. Another pleasant addition to its list of features is the dolby technology powered stereo speakers placed in the cylindrical grip's front portion. It also has an in-built app that can customize the audio to match the user's taste and needs.
The Yoga tablets are wallet friendly too. The 8-inch tablet will set the buyer back by $249 and the 10-inch will cost the buyer $299. For the user friendly design, the features, hardware and a battery that squarely beats the competition, this price point is reasonable and will be seen as a good buy.

As we already know, the world's leading online retailer, Amazon has announced a new release of their android-powered tablet, Kindle Fire HDX. This new release introduce Kindle Fire HDX in 7 inch and 8.9 inch varities to fulfill the interests of android tablet in more plenty choice. But, behind all of those new features offered which can maximize your android experiences, do you know that there are some minus factors in this new Kindle FIre HDX which can reduce it's value in customer's eyes.
Here are some minus reviews which can be considered as the highest fatality in Kindle Fire HDX :1. Kindle Fire HDX use their own developed operating system based on android and totally locked out to amazon, so it seems like you're using android tablet but not a real android. Amazon's decision about not using stock operating system of course because Kindle Fire users love to use FireOS than android because they claim that it easier to use. But for some people, especially people who wants to tweak their android tablet into a more powerful device, using a customized operating system really a bad deal.2. Lack of expandable storage, you can ask yourself how you can survive without an expandable storage in your tablet, it's really a mess if you're a person which always save everything inside your tablet and always install anything (maybe you're a gamer). But it will be fine if you use your Kindle only for business needs and reading.3. Slow shipping, if you pre order your Kindle Fire HDX, you will be faced with a long time journey to wait for it. It's because the shipping dates are within October to December, really a long time to wait your tablet comes to your hands. Of course this issue can reduce their total buyers since no one wants to wait such a long time.
Even Amazon has put some minus factors like stated above, we can't deny that they are a great dealer in android tablet technology. They always provide us some best tablet which can make our activities easier. We must remember that they have developed a "super" tablet which has a lightweight design with a long time battery life (up to 10 hours in a single charge), and of course we can get their products in a low cost, that's the big deal for anyone, especially for people who want to have some experiences in using android device but doesn't have a huge amount of money.
I'm sure Amazon has their own strategies for Kindle Fire HDX market, they have successfully sell their prior Kindle Fire in a great number and have make their company name rising within another top android tablet providers. In this new release of Kindle Fire HDX, we will see what they will do and how they boost their market by targeting specific type of consumers using their customized FireOS, and sure they always provide an enterprise support for all of their consumer which can make us risk-free in using their products. Let's see how the big Amazon act this time.

A new Acer android tablet called "Acer Iconia A1-830" is going to be launched pretty soon. Seems you have heard of it, if yes then you might have also heard of 'Acer Iconia A1-810' which was released last summer. It was supposed to compete with iPad Mini but ended up being just a good tablet for novice users. Talking about A1-830, its has taken all the things that worked for A1-810 such as sub $200 price and very modest specifications. Let's just see what this new tablet is really capable of.
If A1-810 was a plastic finish, A1-830 has been upgraded to aluminium casing which makes it look like a premium android tablet. The moment you look at the cell you will realize that you are looking at a quality device. The aluminium cover is drilled twice for two speaker grills which are capable enough to produce a loud sound.
Its not all aluminium, there is some use of plastic at the back of the device where the 5 MP camera is situated, a microUSB charger, and the 3.5 mm headphone jack. The front of the tablet is marked by all glass panel with the aluminium edges. The 7.9 inch display is surrounded by a good quantity of bezel which makes it easier to hold the tablet.
Turn on the A1-830, and what you will see is a 7.9 inch resolution panel with 768x1024 pixel resolution and that too at 162 ppi. When you will compare it with nexus 7 or any other good quality tablet, you may call it an outdated technology. The gap between the touch surface and the panel and poor color reproduction makes it even worse.
The A1-830 is packed with 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processor with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. The 830 runs smoothly if you use it for everyday purpose. But when it comes to things like playing intense games and multitasking you realize that it is not a powerful processor and it disappoints you. It is fine for low to moderate usage and it would be harsh to expect a powerful processor at such a price. Now its turn for 14.8 watt battery, which is a remarkable feature of this phone. Two to three days of moderate usage of this tablet is possible due to the processor which consume less power and has low pixel count.
The A1-830 come with the Android version 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. There are many applications which are pre-installed such as the Kobo eBook service, gaming portal like Wild Tangent, the Amazon suite, Acer cloud storage solution etc. These applications considered good for the novice users but not as such for others.
Talking about the 5 MP camera of A1-830, its not such a huge setback as Acer has never bee so good at it. The images are infected Poor detailing, washed out tones and soft edges. The camera is not at all attractive as it comes with the limited controls over the settings. The front camera is of 1.3 MP and works just fine for selfies and the video calls.
Following up the A1-810, Acer has managed to do a fine job with A1-830. The build is nice with 4:3 screen ratio. This Acer android tablet is good to used by new or very casual tablet users. But for users who currently uses phone like Nexus 7, A1-830 can definitely not be a choice for them.
Technology develops by the minute and so does the world of tablets. Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 is one of the latest tablets in the market, as it was released on 13th February this year. Its specifications and performance are all admirable, as we note in this review.
First things first. Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 measures 8.03 by 11.64 by 0.31 inches. It weighs 1.66 lb and its touchscreen LCD screen measures 12.2 inches. Moreover, this tablet features the latest android version, 4.4.2 KitKat. It has USB connection and its PC connectivity adds color to the already good package.
Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 comes with internal memory of either 32 GB or 64 GB. This difference in internal memory is reflected in the price, with a 64 GB tablet costing $ 850, approximately $100 more than the 32 GB one. The storage capacity can be accentuated by Micro SD memory card support. Its Exynos 5 octa processor (1.9 GHz quad core and 1.3 GHz quad core) and 3 GB RAM are extra feathers to the hat. These CPU features go well with the android operating system, which supports other pre-installed software such as Twitter, Evernote, NYTimes, Dropbox and Netflix, to mention but a few. These features, coupled with the S pen stylus usage can make the technologically challenged individuals feel like an ancient Jurassic fossil.
Talking about internet and networking, Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 features an integrated Wi-Fi 802.11 a, ac, b, g and n connection (2.4, 5 GHz). The Wi-Fi encryption in play is WEP, WPA, and WPA2. Mobile broadband is also available. Its 4.0 blue tooth connectivity allows sharing of files with other similar devices. Furthermore, the GPS cellular location and Wi-Fi location features serves its users right.
Media and camera specifications
Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 supports AAC, MP3, WMA and WAV audio signals and h. 264, AVC and MPEG-4 video signals. Its 3.5 mm audio/headset jack, inbuilt microphone and stereo speakers augment these audio and video capabilities. Images can be in BMP, GIF, JPEG or PNG formats. The quality of these images is close to impeccable due to the performance of the integrated 8-megapixel rear shooter and 2-megapixel front shooter cameras. The 2560x1600-screen resolution encapsulates an amazing media experience which fills the users of this tablet with passion of the most profound kind. Off course, the screen’s 247 PPI pixel density cannot go unmentioned.
The general performance of Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 is admirable. It is thin and light, if the large screen size is anything to go by. The functionality of the remote pc feature deserves plaudits, not to mention its easy set up procedure.
Though the performance of Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 is great, some features of this tablet ensure that it is not like a candle in the dim light. For instance, it is very similar to the 2014 edition of Galaxy note 10.1. Additionally, though its 9500mAh li-polymer battery is rechargeable, its middling life is pain in the flesh.
In conclusion, Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 has a great size, and its good overall performance draws people to it like moths to flames. Though it has its own share of cons, they are nothing compared to the salient pros. do not hesitate to try this amazing Samsung product.
Android slates are available in numerous screen diagonal sizes in the market. LG G Pad 8.3 marks the return of the Korean manufacturer to this space after a 2 year hiatus following the release of the Optimus tablet. The market dynamics in the race to be the best tablet in the market has resulted in tablets becoming more compact than ever before. It was the Nexus line that started this trend with all the other manufacturers following suite with even Apple releasing iPad mini. It is in this setting that LG has released its latest tablet offering. Sensing the need to combat iPad mini which has a screen diagonal of 7.9 inches, along with the other tablets, it has gone for 8.3 inches. Another reason could be that LG identified through its own tests that 8.3 inches is the biggest diagonal that can fit smugly in one hand.
The tablet is powered by 1 1.7Ghz Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor and 2GB RAM and runs on 4.2.2. Jelly Bean android OS. Tests confirm that the Snapdragon 600 platform performs exceptionally well in the G Pad when compared to other tablets in which it is being used. The hardware consists of all the usual bells and whistles that consumers are used to in tablets such as this. The resolution of the display on the G Pad is 1920*1200 which is higher than the standard 1080p resolutions. While this means more space when browsing and reading, it also means that some space will go unused when watching videos.
One of the features in the G Pad that is sure to excite couch surfers is its phone pairing capabilities. A G Pad can be paired with other android smartphones running Android 4.1 or later, through wireless BlueTooth. LG provides a free app called QPair for this purpose. This feature is very useful for people who do not like to work on multiple devices at the same time. When a call is received in the phone that is paired with this tablet, the caller information is seen on the tablet and the call can be answered or rejected from the G pad without accessing the phone. Text messages can also replied to, from the tablet although the reply is limited to one and they cannot be initiated from the tablet itself.
The G Pad has great multitasking abilities thanks to two tools - QSlide and Slide Aside. In other devices, although multiple apps can run simultaneously, only one app can be seen and worked on at any given time. QSlide overcomes this grouse raised by serious multi-taskers. With it three apps can be accessed at the same time. A slider that is available can be used to make two of them semi-transparent while working on the third app. This tool works with most of the day to day applications that most users use. Slide Aside tool can be used to push one of the three apps to the left side by swiping to the left. The hidden apps can be bought out by sliding to the right. This simple yet elegant feature works with all apps.
The LG G Pad 8.3 costs $350 while the new iPad high resolution mini costs $399. Other 7 inch android tablets from Amazon and Google cost around $229. For people who need 8 inches screen tablet that runs on Android, LG G Pad is the one to consider mainly because of its strong multitasking and phone pairing capabilities.
Formally referred to as Galaxy Note 10.1- 2014 Edition, the Samsung 10.1 tablet is set to go on sale starting Thursday, October 17, 2013. It comes with a number of amazing features that place it ahead of other competing brands such as the iPad and Kindle. Read on to find out how:
1. Multitasking Features
This product sports a 10.1” display and comes with various multitasking features. The first is the Multi- Window feature that can be found in a few Samsung devices. However, it also works with more apps, meaning you can run 2 apps concurrently.
With Android tablets and iPads, you would be limited to displaying only one window at any given time. With the Samsung 10.1 tablet, it is possible to change the amount of space each app takes on the screen. You also have around 18 apps to choose from.
2. Stylus- Related Features
The Multi- Window feature is supplemented by the Pen Window feature. With this, you can trace the outline of a box on your screen using the stylus before choosing to open another app in a new window, with a limit of 7 apps. Therefore, it is possible to open up to 9 tabs on the Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet.
The Pen Windows can be moved around the screen and re sized, just like on PCs. This is a definite advantage over what you can do with the Amazon Kindle Fire or the iPad.
3. My Magazine Mode
This mode provides personalized highlights (including interesting news topics), social media feeds and suggestions on things you can see or do depending on your location.
You also get quick access to any of the tools you wish to access using the stylus. One of these is the Pen Window discussed above. Other features let you add notes to screenshots of what you saw. Yet another empowers you to clip sections of web pages and store them with Web links.
4. Text Recognition
However, not everything is perfect with the Samsung 10.1 tablet. For instance, text recognition is still problematic as in the iPad. This is clear in the sense that the device almost always confuses letters ‘l’ and ‘o’ with the numerals ‘1’ and ‘0’.
You will also face some difficulties using Pen Window. To use it, you have to take out your styles before an Air Command tool appears where you choose ‘Pen Window’ and draw your first box on the screen and choose the app you wish to open.
The problem comes in when you want to draw additional boxes on the screen. This is in the sense that you will have to figure out how to re- open Air Command with your stylus out already. It would probably have been easier if Samsung had added an extra button on the ‘Home’ screen that users could tap with their stylus or finger.
5. Physical Outlook
Still, this tablet has outdone the Amazon Kindle Fire and the iPad. For instance, although the back is made of plastic, it still feels like leather. At 1.2 pounds, it is also lighter than the 1.4 pound- iPad.
Finally, with the Galaxy Note 10.1 — 2014 Edition, it is clear that Samsung is altering its devices to compete with PCs by adding some of the functionalities associated with computers. In this sense, the Samsung 10.1 tablet is clearly ahead of competing brands and products....
The past 2 years have seen a huge rise in the tablet and smartphone industry. Today every major consumer electronics manufacturer offers either a tablet of a smartphone as part of its product line. Even though there is huge competition in the sector, the majority of the market is dominated by companies like Apple, Microsoft, HP and Toshiba. A majority of the products in the sector are struggling to acquire a market and every now and then their manufacturers are rolling out with new and innovative plans for market acquisition. Recently, HP and Toshiba entered the low price tablet segment by introducing tablets priced around $100. HP introduced the HP 7 Plus and Toshiba followed with its Toshiba Excite Go. Even the low profit margin from these cheapest android tablets haven’t stopped their manufacturers from trying out a new market strategy. Let’s have a closer look at both the products and explore what you can get with so little.
HP 7 Plus Vs Toshiba Excite Go
Display and Resolution
The screen is perhaps the most important part of the tablet. Its resolution and touch sensitivity account for more than 50% of the tablets feature. It also determines the total size of the tablet. It is the primary input device and its functionality drives the entire tablet experience. Both the tablets from HP and Toshiba use 7-inch displays with a limited resolution of 1024x600. Although it has lowered the tablet cost, the customers won’t be able to watch a 720p video stream. Some other manufacturers like the amazon kindle and Google nexus provide higher resolution tablets with an additional cost of $50-$100. Hope their strategy for achieving higher sales with low cost succeeds.
Cameras have been popular with tablets as they let the tablets resemble their smartphones. Front and rear cameras have been embedded into tablets since their first release. The HP 7 Plus tablet offers a 640x480px or a VGA camera on its front with a much lower resolution than an average tablet. It has a 2.0 megapixel camera at the back that’s works just alright for still shots. Toshiba only has a front camera with a low resolution and has no camera at the back. If you are concerned about a good camera then may be none of these are a good choice for a camera with a tablet although you can use the HP 7 plus tablet for taking still shots.
The more the power of a processor, the better games you can play. Yeah that’s right. Be it temple run or any of those thousands of games available on the android store, a good game needs a powerful processor. Both the tablets use low power quad code processors but the Toshiba uses an Intel Atom processor while the HP tablets is embedded with an AMD Cortex A-7. Both the processors were made for basic usage devices like devices for checking your email or browsing the web. Thus they won’t be able to support heavy games and even if they do, the gaming experience and the device itself would be harmed.
Here is some good news for the customers. Unlike other low cost models from other tablet manufacturers, HP and Toshiba both have allowed storage expansion through flash memory. The HP tablet has an 8GB inbuilt storage while the Toshiba Excite has 16GB inbuilt storage. You won’t find this expandable memory functionality in other cheap android tablets in this price range.
When to Prefer Cheap Android Tablet
Although this low cost strategy has helped some companies boost their total sales, it is hard to determine how these products would fare in the market. If you want a basic tablet for checking your emails and browsing the web or you have a tight budget and badly need a tablet then any one of these could be your preferred choice. But if you want a powerful device that can at least allow you to play some games do some office tasks smoothly, then it would be better to invest an additional $100 for a tablet with better features.
Since the year 2010, Acer has continued making a mark on the global tablet market. With the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) recording that the number of tablet users doubled in 2013, Acer Android Tablet can only angle for greater things.
But first things first; how did the company get this high so fast? Since the launch of the first tablet in November 2010, the growth has been phenomenal and if you are a potential owner of a tablet, you better pause first and look at the amazing line in the Acer tablet series.
Acer Iconia Tab A100
Call it the smallest in the Acer tablet family but the 7-inch device running on Android is nothing but small when it comes to functionality. After months of nail-biting for Acer enthusiasts, the Acer Iconia Tab A100 finally hit the market in the second half of 2011.
With an Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS, a Tegra 2 T20 SoC and a five and two megapixel camera, the A100 was a refreshing gadget right from the onset. Add these gems to the micro-USB and HMDI ports and you have a small 0.92 pounds but effective gizmo that set Acer firmly on the tablet market.
Acer Iconia Tab A101
Another milestone from Acer rolled out in form of the A 101. This 0.54 inches thick tablet is packed with a 7-inch capacitive touch screen. Like the A 100, it runs on Android OS, v3.2 (Honeycomb) and has two cameras for more functionality; one rear facing 5MP with a single LED flash and a front facing 2 MP camera. Mind you, the cameras feature Geo-tagging, image stabilization.
This updated model also featured 3G on a GSM network. In terms of memory, you will be enjoying 8/16 GB internal memory with a Micro USD of up to 32 GB.
Acer Iconia Tab A110
Come the year 2012, Acer decided to up the game and out came the Acer Iconia Tab A110. Running on Android 4.0, the A 110 was bound to create ripples in the market and it did. The 7 inch touch screen is exactly what the brand had promised and there is more for you; it is only 0.4 inches in thickness and still you will get micro USB and HMDI ports and also a micro USD card slot.
With a 2MP camera front facing camera to boot, you can be sure to capture every moment. This Wi-Fi only tablet also comes with impeccable media support and with the 1.2GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and 1GB RAM, what more can you ask for?
Acer Iconia Tab A200
In the first half of 2012, Acer was at it again with the 10.1 inch screen 1280 x 800 display Acer Iconia Tab A200. This budget minded tablet has no rear camera. One of the most outstanding feat for Acer in this device is of course the Android 4.0 ice cream sandwich OS and a full sized USB 2.0 port. The Wi-Fi only tablet is about 1.54 pounds and inside you will enjoy the power of an Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor, blue tooth 2.1, and built-in GPS support. The fact that it has greater girth has advantages such as better connectivity through 3.5 mm headphone jack, micro USD card slot among other features.
Acer Iconia Tab A210
Released in the second half of 2012, this is another great Acer tablet which you will surely enjoy sampling and eventually using. The 10.1 inch display model comes with greater performance and reliability through its upgraded Tegra 3 quad-core 1.2GHz processor which clearly translates to higher performance, 16GB internal memory, microSD card slot, VGA webcam, front facing 2MP front facing camera and runs on Android 4.1.
Acer Iconia Tab A500 and Acer Iconia Tab A510
The 10.1 inch Iconia A 500 was one of the earlier releases by Acer back in 2011. It is an iconic device running on Android Honeycomb which you can now upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich. It has a 2MP front facing camera and a 5 MP rear facing camera designed for video calling. Additionally, this gadget will give you a lot of humph on its 1 GHz Nvidia Tegra 250 CPU. Add to this 1024 MB Ram memory, 720p video play back, USB port, Wi-Fi and you realize why the A 500 has created so much hype over the last 3 years.
The Acer Iconia Tab A510 is a close cousin of the A 500 and as released in 2012. It is also a 10.1 inch device running on Android 4.1 Ice Cream Sandwich backed by a 1.3 GHz quad core Nvidia Tegra processor. Add into the mix Wi-Fi capability, 5 MP rear-facing and 1 MP front facing cameras, HMDI and USB ports and you have a dynamic gadget in your hands.
The Acer Iconia Tab A700 and Acer Iconia Tab A701
These two are considered the crème de la crème of Acer tablet family and for a good reason. Consider the 10.1 screen, 1.3 GHz 3quad-core Tegra 3CPU, 1 GB RAM, 5MP rear facing camera with LED flash, 32 GB internal memory, micro HMDI video output, and an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS to boot. The A701 comes with carrier data connectivity which is the only difference it has with the Acer Iconia Tab A700.
There you have it, the Acer Android Tablet has for sure grown but the journey seems to be only starting!

From size to operating systems, there are a lot of features all craving for your attention. So where do you start, and how do you choose the right tablet to satisfy your needs?

If you are looking for a lightweight device that fits your pocket and lets you watch and download on the go, a 7 inch tablet will be the best bet since it weighs less than a pound for one to carry, easy to hold and fits on one hand. A 10 inch tablet will provide a bigger field for editing documents and surfing the web. The minimum resolution of the screen should be at least 800 x 400. Go for the capacitive touch screen. If it has a resistive screen, then it's not worth buying even if the tablet cost you less than $30. Capacitive is the latest technology and senses touch more comfortably. The old technology being resistive will constantly irritate you if you have consistently being using capacitive screen.
Which OS (Operating System) would you prefer?
Apple powers a few tablets and has a wide array of accessories available. It's the super simple interface and plethora that attracts most people to apple's platform plus it has over 475000 apps to its name. Android OS is more customizable. Android has plenty of widget options as well as launcher apps that can change the feel and look of your device. Microsoft also has the Windows 8.1 OS which is easy to use and customizable. Its app store has 145000 options. With all these OS available, it's advisable to buy tablets with the latest Android latest versions. Always inquire whether the tablet manufacturer provides firmware upgrades or not. If the tablet has upgrades, definitely go for it.
What kind of apps do you want?
Content is king and therefore the more apps you want on your tablet will guide you on which kind of tablet you will purchase. If you are for example an iTunes person you will want an iPad so that you can easily purchase and download music and videos from the Apple store. On the Android front, there is the Google Play which is common in all Android tablets.
What specs do you want your tablet to have?
The minimum processing speed should be 1 GHz, because the latest Android versions and most apps will not support speeds below 1 GHz. Most tablets now come with HD support and you should go for this. Check that the tablet is clocked at maximum speed specified in the tablet specifications. It is important to note that some manufacturers specify some speed and the tablet are clocked to work at lower speed. You will definitely want at least 1 GB of RAM in your tablet, a 2 GB even better. The more RAM a tablet has, the more responsive it will be in performing the tasks you need it to. The internal memory of some tablets can be expanded with a microSD card which comes in handy when downloading large files of data.
How important the Battery life is to you?

Direct USB should be the first option but most tabs come with micro USB. Other ports to look for include mini HDMI if a tablet supports HD.
Finally, don’t you need a front Camera to support Video Chat, look for it....
Not even six months after the launch of the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10, Lenovo has replenished the gadget, reacting to two noteworthy complaints clients had: low screen determination and poor execution. The new form, the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 Hd+, accompanies a 10.1-inch, IPS screen at a determination of 1920 x 1200, contrasted with the 1280 x 800 determination of the past model. It likewise has Qualcomm's 1.6 Ghz quad-center Snapdragon 400 processor (Msm8228 for 3g, i.e. Apq8028 for the Wi-Fi model), rather than a 1.2ghz quad-center Mediatek Mt8125 chip.
Fabricate and Design: From the start, it is practically difficult to differentiate between the enhanced Yoga Tablet and its antecedent, given that the new model takes after the same fundamental outline queues as more established variant. On both, the astoundingly thin aluminum body has its inside of gravity moved to its edge where a huge tube shaped lump lies, the Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ is not your normal tablet. The exquisite side line with marginally adjusted edges additionally helps the pleasurable feeling while utilizing it. This gadget comes in at 1.4 pounds (615 grams). Because of the moved focus of gravity it doesn't tire out the hand whatsoever, regardless of how the client holds it.
Show: The most promptly apparent change to the overhauled Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 is the expansion of the screen determination. Rather than a negligible 1280 x 800 pixels, this tablet now has Full HD determination, i.e. 1920 x 1200 pixels, expanding pixel thickness from a lower 149 ppi to a more average 224 ppi. Thanks to another dynamic encompassing lighting sensor, programmed presentation shine conformity has more adjust than the past Yoga Tablet 10 featured. Six months prior, alongside the arrival of its initial 10-inch Yoga Tablet, Lenovo additionally presented a 8-inch rendition with the same 1280 x 800 determination. This mid-extent model accepted a great deal less feedback than the bigger one in light of the fact that this determination on a littler screen brought about more terrific pixel thickness, which is the reason Lenovo just felt the need to trade the 10-inch model.
Kickstand: Lenovo planned the kickstand on the Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ for simple use in a few positions. The gadget might be set level on its over with the kickstand collapsed for writing and skimming the Web. Then again, with the kickstand still off the beaten path and the gadget in picture mode, this gadget sits regularly with the lump in the palm of a hand, much the same as a book or a collapsed magazine. With the kickstand sent, the tablet is held upright for viewing movies, for example.
Catches and Ports: In agreement with present day plan, there is an insignificant measure of jacks and keys. The right edge incorporates simply the volume control, while the left one holds the micro USB port. There is a sound jack on the right half of the chamber for the earphones, while the Power key is on the left. All control catches are capacitive, while there is a front-confronting Polaroid over the screen. The surrounding light sensor is incorporated as an afterthought; whiles the easier edge, or the lump, incorporates the stereo speakers - one on each one side.
Display: The most instantly clear change to the updated Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 is the increment of the screen determination. Rather than a negligible 1280 x 800 pixels, this tablet now has Full HD determination. Be that as it may, differentiate practicality still has particular inadequacies, particularly when the presentation is laid open to guide daylight, while the survey edge is attractive and moderately wide.
In the current evolution era in technology, large android tablets are what people want to stick to. What people consider a tablet as, is the size of the screen and a large screen is usually the key factor in replacing the laptop for purposes such as watching movies. The Google Nexus 10 was introduced after the Nexus 7 to improve on some features such as the screen size on the tablet. It was meant to offer a pure and better Google experience.
Large android tablets are ideal for multitasking while at the same time you can feel the large screen with live widgets that supply you with information without necessarily having to fire up the apps. An advantage of the Google Nexus 10 over the Asus Transformer Pad TF701T and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is that its price is relatively lower by approximately 20 USD-200USD. What makes it the most suitable large android tablet is its 177.6 mm height with a 2560* 1600 resolution display and its swift performance and good design.
Another feature that makes the Google Nexus 10 the most outstanding among the large android tablets is its dual core ARM Cortex A15 and a quad core Mail T604 processor. The Nexus wireless connectivity is advanced since the nexus has Bluetooth, NFC and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n as compared to the other large android tablets.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition is equipped with an android 4.3 Jelly operating system but is likely to be updated soon while the Asus Transformer pad operates on android 4.2. In terms of software features, The Samsung Galaxy Note beats the Asus since The Galaxy Note has added features such as the Air Command, Air view, The S Pen Stylus that is applicable on spread sheets, sketching and planning and also taking notes.
The Nexus Battery has 8,220mAh as compared to Asus’s 700mAh and therefore the latter is not as reliable as the Google Nexus. In weighty matters, customers will always prefer light but large android tablets and for this case the Google Nexus is the lightest as compared to Asus Transformer Pad and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. While most large android tablets come with straight and relative sharp corners the Google Nexus 10 has convex and rounded corners. It is also more rectangular as compared to the Asus Transformer Pad and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) squarer corners ad this makes it comfortable to hold and use in landscape orientation.
Based on camera specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is better than the Asus Transformer Pad TF701 T. The latter has 5 megapixels as compared to Samsung’s 8 megapixels. The images captured by large android tablets ought to be clear and well enhanced so that they don’t appear blurred on large screens. However the Asus is reigns when it comes to offering a grip due to its extremely tactile rubber finish. It is also warmer to hold even in cold temperatures.
The Google Nexus 10 is the large android tablet of the day especially due to its distinctive features while at the same selling at a low price in the market as compared to the other large android tablets.
